Exciting News!!!

Ryan and I have some exciting news to share with you! Last night when we were making Christmas cookies, Ryan asked me to marry him. (for all of you who are asking "what did you say?" I said YES!) We were frosting cookies and Ryan took frosting over to the counter to decorate "his cookies." I was kinda frustrated because I wanted to be done and clean it all up and he would not tell me what he was doing. He then told me to go sit in my living room and came walking in with the cookies on a cooling rack and on them it said, Will U Marry Me. He got down on one knee and of course, I said "Are you serious?" then I said Yes. Check out the pictures of the cookies, my ring, and us with the cookies :-) We just wanted you to be in on the next step of our exciting journey together. We are very excited and we will let you know more details as we know them.

Thanksgiving 2008

HI All, We have much to be Thankful for. We had a awesome Thanksgiving. Started out by doing the Thanksgiving day 5K and than on to Caribou Coffee for the traditional drinks. Turkey was in the oven by 11 and then onto some TV time and game time. Mom enjoyed bowling on the Wii. We had a wonderful dinner prepared by many. I am thankful that many were able to help prepare this dinner as I was pretty much a spectator.

All in a day's work

As you can see I am currently sporting a cast on my left hand. I have fractured my elbow and wrist. I will be sporting this cast until December 1st at which time I will go back to the doctor to find out what is next, I am very Thankful mom is coming for Thanksgiving!

A visit to Dallas, TX

Chris & I went to Texas to visit with Tim & Danielle. We visited the Gaylord Texan ( Kinda like Opryland hotel for those of you that visited with us in Nashville). Chris & Tim golfed on Saturday while Danielle and I had the chance to shop for 6 hours ( yes 6) at Canton. It was an amazing area of stuff ( Clothes, crafts, food, antiques) We found some great deals. We met with some friends and had dinner on Saturday night, got to sleep an extra hour on Sunday and then went to Church with Tim & Danielle for great Worship Service. Great to spend time with Tim and Danielle and just relax. Looking forward to seeing them at Christmastime.

Birthday Celebrations

Chris celebrated hi 50th birthday in January, Fran celebrated her 50th Birthday in February and Jim celebrated his 60 th Birthday in February. Chris and Fran were in Florida to help Jim Celebrate his Birthday. It was a great celebration in honor of Jim. Great to see all the family and friends that were also there to help him celebrate. I think the best part was when Karen and Fran sang a song to Jim. We have great singing voices and will be on stage in Vegas in the near future.
Mom baked Fran a Birthday cake to help her celebrate her birthday. I think this is the only birthday cake that mom has ever baked. Can anyone else remember mom baking them a cake. Way to go MOM.
